1. Proper pipe height: The water inlet for defrosting must be at least 2CM higher than the drain. Regularly check and calibrate to prevent water accumulation, backflow, or poor drainage that could cause equipment failure.
2. Strict water quality control: The ice-making water tank must be kept clean. Avoid sand and debris from entering the water channels to prevent blockages, pump malfunctions, or ice-making issues. Install a debris filter at the pump inlet and clean or replace it regularly.
3. Drying after shutdown: After each defrosting cycle, run the fan to blow dry and clean the entire machine, removing residual water and moisture to prevent internal dampness, scale, or contamination, thereby extending the machine's lifespan.
4. Accurate leak handling: After tightening the rubber gasket on the platform, if there’s a water leak, adjust the gasket slightly with the switch. If it still leaks after adding water, slightly lift the platform, mark the leak spot, and apply sealant before the next startup to fully solve the leak.
Mechanical Maintenance: Prevent Jamming, Reduce Wear, Run Smoothly
The lifting platform, ice pushing structure, and lead screw are high-frequency moving parts, so daily maintenance is essential:
1. Platform operation monitoring: During the entire process of the platform rising and lowering, operators must stay on duty the whole time. Leaving the post is strictly prohibited. If you notice sticking, unusual noises, or abnormal shaking, stop the machine immediately for inspection to prevent running with problems.
2. Regular check of limit switches: Regularly check the sensitivity of the limit switches on the platform and ice pusher. If any are damaged, malfunctioning, or sticking, replace them promptly to prevent misalignment or damage to the equipment.
3. Regular lubrication of the lead screw: As a core load-bearing transmission component, the lead screw needs periodic wear inspections and timely greasing to reduce mechanical wear, ensure smooth lifting and ice pushing operations, and extend the lifespan of the parts.
Refrigeration system debugging: temperature control, pressure control, precise adaptation to working conditions
Adjusting the parameters of the refrigeration system directly affects ice-making efficiency, ice quality, and compressor lifespan:
1. Adjust freezing time according to air temperature: When the ambient temperature rises or falls significantly, you must fine-tune the ice-making settings to match the conditions, avoiding improper temperature adjustments that can lead to low ice efficiency or compressor overload.
2. Use cooling water properly: Always use tap water for the cooling system, and avoid using murky or impure water. Regularly clean the evaporative cooler and cooling tower to remove scale and impurities, ensuring good heat dissipation and stable refrigeration efficiency.
3. Keep voltage stable: The equipment’s rated voltage is 380V, and voltage fluctuations should not exceed 5%. The safe operating range is 360V-400V. If the voltage is too high or low, stop the machine and check to avoid damaging the electrical control or compressor.
4. Precisely control compressor temperature: During ice-making, the ideal exhaust temperature is 70-85℃. If the temperature stays too high, top up the refrigerant; if it stays below 50℃ for a long time, it indicates overfilling, so adjust the expansion valve or remove excess refrigerant to keep the system running efficiently and stably.
5. Accurately control defrosting time: Defrosting time depends on water temperature, freezing temperature, and downtime duration. When using a new machine, make sure to record each defrosting data point to set a fixed defrosting time for specific conditions. Never lower the platform prematurely to avoid incomplete ice freezing, deformation, or breakage.
Shutting Down and Idling for Winter: Prevent Damage from Sitting Around
Many equipment failures happen during shutdown restarts or in the cold winter months. Key things to pay attention to:
1. Preheating after long power-off: If the equipment has been off for a long time, before turning it on again, you need to power it on and let it preheat for 8 hours. At the same time, check if the cooling tower and evaporative cooling water supply are working properly, and make sure the unit is normal before starting the ice-making process.
2. Winter anti-freeze protection: When the temperature is below 0℃, take measures to prevent the equipment from freezing. If the equipment has been unused for a long time, make sure to completely drain any residual water from the unit, pipes, and pump to prevent freezing from cracking the pipes, pump, or tank.
Troubleshooting Guide: Don't just turn it on blindly, report the problem accurately
While the equipment is running, if any abnormalities are noticed—like oil spills on the ground, unusual air leaks from the unit, inability to start normally, water system issues, or refrigeration problems—do not force the machine to start. First, take photos and videos of the problem and send them to the manufacturer’s technicians for accurate troubleshooting and targeted repairs. This helps prevent small issues from turning into big damages and avoid extra repair costs.
On-Site Safety Procedures
1. When entering the equipment operation area and ice storage area, watch out for slippery floors and overhead structures to avoid slipping or hitting your head.
2. You must wear full protective gear: safety shoes, helmet, and gloves when handling ice to prevent frostbite or cuts.
3. Handle ice steadily to avoid dropping it on yourself or others and to prevent slips and falls.
4. Ice storage is a cold, enclosed environment, so dress warmly during long work periods to prevent frostbite.
5. During equipment defrosting, never stand directly over the ice platform to avoid safety accidents from falling ice.
